Time Events

The Events in Deltek’s Time are a powerful workflow management tool that can help users direct notifications and e-mail to the proper people an make the daily management of time more efficient.

Run reports right when you need them.

Imagine being able to run a report on the day timesheet approvals are due, and identify the timesheets with outstanding approvals and then being able to notify the supervisors who should approve those timesheets with a few clicks of your mouse. Properly configured Events can lessen the time spent tracking down Employees and getting them to finish their Timesheet responsibilities.

Remember to keep things simple in the beginning. Start out with the smallest number of notifications you think you can manage with and grow from there. A very common mistake is to set them all up in a fit of “WOW look at all the neat events we can set up!” This results in the employees becoming saturated with “Notification Fatigue” and often ignoring the important ones because there are just too many to deal with. As you grow and get more experience with the system, you will be able to recognize where you have a need for another Event and add just the ones you need when you need them.
