Technology & Business Solutions Releases Claritas Q4 Update.

Potomac Falls, Virginia – Claritas, the user-friendly project performance management suite for Deltek products from Technology & Business Solutions LLC, keeps getting better and better. Continuing its commitment to on-going quarterly product updates, TBS has released its Q4 Claritas enhancements for all customers.

“We strongly believe that when customers make their choice for Claritas they should feel comfortable knowing they’re investing in a product that’s only going to get better, with additional robust features over time,” says TBS co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Jay Ethridge. “Our Claritas Q4 release increases that return, yet again.”

In addition to minor fixes and improved user interface controls, the Claritas fourth-quarter update expands two core product modules. For the My Projects Module, Claritas now provides a project performance view for Time & Materials contracts. Like all interactive Claritas project reports, the new T&M view delivers posted, unposted and unprocessed performance data (expenses, labor and fees) straight from Deltek GCS Premier or Costpoint or Time & Expense. Claritas serves project performance details directly to project managers, financial managers and business leaders via a secure internet interface, available on any desktop or tablet device, and soon smart phones.

“Easily 90% of our customers have T&M government contracts,” says Joe Jezior, TBS co-founder and Chief Operating Officer. “These T&M projects may not comprise the majority of their government portfolios, but we feel that the real-time insight and empowerment that Claritas brings is absolutely vital for T&M work too.” With Claritas, project leaders gain access to instant performance insight, with to-the-minute information that enables them to take action or make corrections. Traditional project reporting typically occurs when the accounting period closes, leaving project managers to retroactively discover when they need to tighten up contract profitability. Not so with Claritas, which monitors project performance in real time. “Claritas enables PMs to control their projects more effectively, and frees accounting from the burden of project reporting and requests,” says Mr. Jezior.

Fueling the Claritas T&M performance features is expanded My Budgets Module functionality with the new 4.11 release. “We’ve taken a budget agnostic approach with Claritas – GCS Premier, Costpoint, Budgeting & Planning all sync instantly with Claritas,” says TBS Vice President Eric Brown, whose development team creates TBS’s SaaS products. “Interestingly, we’ve found that most organizations use Microsoft Excel for their project budgets.” With the Q4 update, the Claritas My Budgets Module now integrates Labor Category Budgets, in addition to standard project budgets, directly from Excel. By syncing their Labor Category Budgets with Claritas, organizations gain real-time visibility into project revenue by labor category and employee – including unposted records.

The Claritas Q4 update also delivers an enhanced Non-Labor Project Detail View, with voucher descriptions, labor category information, and subcontractor IDs.
