TBS CLOUD INTELLIGENCE: Product Feed

Interactive Income Statement for Financial Managers Highlights TBS Claritas Q2 Release.

Potomac Falls, Virginia – “Claritas is software constantly under development by design,” says Technology & Business Solutions LLC’s Vice President Eric Brown, whose team is responsible for the advancement of TBS SaaS products like Claritas, I.C.E. (the Integrated Cloud Exchange integration platform), and a forthcoming Deltek disaster recovery platform.

“At TBS, we are committed to providing an enhanced experience for Deltek GCS Premier, Costpoint and Vision, and for Impromptu and Budgeting & Planning. So we never rest in making Claritas better,” says Mr. Brown

A host of new features and updates has been rolled out to all Claritas users with the second quarter development release. Headlining the list is the interactive Claritas Income Statement.

“Claritas is really best described as an information management service for Deltek products,” says TBS Co-Founder and COO, Joe Jezior. “Claritas takes data from GCS or Costpoint and the rest of the Deltek suite, and transforms it into information -- actual financial performance details, trends and alerts that empower users to take action, to control contract delivery and the financial performance of their entire enterprise.”

A SaaS product delivered via a fully secure and regulatory-compliant Internet interface, Claritas aggregates Deltek data through the TBS Enterprise Cloud, and serves it to users in a suite of connected, customized and interactive dashboards and performance modules for Financial Managers and Project Managers. The Claritas PM module includes unposted and unprocessed Deltek data too.

For Q2, the interactive Claritas Income Statement is delivered as a new tab in the Financial Managers module, pulling Budget, Value, Fee and Expense data directly from Deltek products. Income Statements are presented for each corporate division, and also aggregated into a multi-division view for enterprise-wide analysis. Interactive links embedded in the rows of the Income Statement enable Financial Managers to click straight into the General Ledger details right in-line on screen. Like all Claritas performance views, users may then instantly push information for action as an embedded email report or PDF or Excel document. Claritas alert functionality enables automatic email or text messages to CFOs, Controllers and other financial managers with the latest Income Statement highlights or warnings.

Says TBS Co-Founder and CEO Jay Ethridge, “Usability, Empowerment and Perspective are the watchwords for Claritas development. At TBS we’re enhancing the Deltek Job Status Report and Project Status Report experience with one that is mobile, interactive and up-to-the-minute. Claritas provides financial reporting in context, in a panorama that let’s you always see where you are, and where you came from. It’s powerful stuff for Financial Managers and Project Managers too.”

Other enhancements in the Claritas Q2 release include, for the Project Managers module: new in-line details for multi-project views and enhanced in-line labor charge details (posted and unposted) by category and employee name; for the Financial Managers module there are also new alerts for pay rate and vendor disbursement discrepancies.

This year’s Claritas development roadmap is crowded, with interactive Balance Sheets and Cashflow Statements for Financial Managers and Project Manager report templates among the highlights for Quarters 3 and 4.

“With Claritas, we’re transforming reporting into real-time financial analysis – from reactive review to proactive management,” says Mr. Brown.
